Females are welcomed into a safe and accepting environment, and we actively seek to strengthen our connectedness and access, with two dedicated Female portfolio committee members who work hard in our community alongside schools and parents.  We are working with our community to better understand and work through the barriers that girls and women face, which are varied and come from external sources as well as within the sport.

WINTER GIRLS FOOTBALL - Pre Season Training

Our amazing Junior Girls coach Neil Benson, along with coach Liam, is running open pre-season training sessions for all girls interested in playing football this year who are 8-13yrs.

Open to all abilities, including those who haven't played before but want to get into Girls Football!

We will have Girls Only teams in a number of grades this year, so get along and join in!

GIRLS ONLY PRE-ACADEMY - Diamonds Pre-Academy

FC Nelson Pre-Academy focuses on players in the skill acquisition phase (8-12) and looks to build on their key skills and confidence to help them take the next step in their football journey.

These sessions are intended to complement a player’s community football development.

GIRLS ONLY FOOTY SKILLZ

a welcoming and supportive programme designed especially for girls who are new to the game or still building their confidence.

Learn, grow, and have fun in a safe, friendly environment with other girls who love football!! 

We welcome everyone from 5 - 9 years (some capable 4yrs old possible) who are wanting to take their first steps into the beautiful world of football in a fun and safe environment.
