FC Nelson offers opportunities for all ages and abilities, with a particular emphasis on providing for the increasing number of girls and woman players taking up football. FC Nelson will
be lining up with NZ Football's Whole of Football Plan to provide all the players the opportunity to
develop to their full potential. FC Nelson will be working with Nelson Bays Football to provide the following
junior and youth football opportunities for boys and girls under the Whole of Football Plan.
Winter Season
First Kicks
First Kicks is for kids aged 4-6 and is all about having fun and learning some football basics 4v4 games. more
Fun Football
Fun Football is for kids who are turning 7-8 years old this year and is all about mastering the ball and playful technical training with 5v5 games. FC Nelson has embraced the Whole of
Football plan – although we have yet to be signed on as a participating Club. As a consequence, we do not have all of the support information. We are however included in the
Nelson Bays Football Fun Football Framework. more
Girls Football
For girls turning 9-14 years old this year you it is possible (numbers permitting) to play in a girls only grade

Girls turning 9-10 years old this year play 7v7 Mini Soccer in a all girls Junior Girls grade.

Girls turning 11-12 years old this year play 9v9 Mini Soccer, extending the football techniques with 9v9 games in a all girls Intermediate Girls grade.

Girls turning 13-14 years old this year can play in a new all girls U15 grade.
