New FC President directs words to FC members

I’d like to introduce myself as the new President of FC Nelson.

As the club president, I welcome you all to a very exciting new season for our club.

We have listened to feedback and invested a huge amount of time preparing for this year.

We have aligned with Tasman United, who we identify as the regions pinnacle club. We have worked with them to build a clear development pathway for our young junior and youth players.

We are challenging our local council to improve facilities and will be comunicating frequently with Nelmac.

We want to work closely with our local football community, both new and old.

We have a fantastic club with an incredible amount of talent both at senior and juniors level.

We have the most qualified coaches and the best supporters in the region. But we can do better...

Regardless of how much ability you either were, or were not blessed with, the chances are that if you are reading this, you enjoy football to some degree. You could be a 1st team superstar, a third division nearly man' or you just simply avoid it all together because you've realised that by now you've got two left feet and are best off spectating from the sidelines. Your son maybe the next Nelson All White or a daughter who can be another fantastic Football Fern. Or you have a child who wants to have fun with their mates. We need your help....

I’m honoured and proud to be the club president.
I ask you all to work to together create a sustainable footballing environment within which all ages can participate, succeed and support. I ask you to join our mission to promote Football through leadership, inspiration and development.
