Skill Centre

FC Nelson are looking to continue the Skill centre as soon as possible. Andy Morris has had to return to the North Island to attend a family bereavement and has shifted there temporarily until 2015.

We wish Andy all the best and look forward to him returning next year.

In the meantime we are looking to find a replacement coach until the end of the school year. When the coach is announced we will work out a cost for families based on the remainder of the 2 school terms. It is envisaged that the skill centre will still run on a Friday and be suitable for boys and girls between 8-12 approx.

Register your interest now and we will be in touch via email soon.

Fund raising opportunity

FC Nelson is looking for FC Nelson teams to run a BBQ at Neale Park on Saturday mornings. This could be a team fundraiser or indeed an opportunity for players to fund raise for representative trips out of the region.

Memorial for Finn O’Neill-Stevens

Sadly, Finn O’Neill-Stevens passed away on Sunday morning after a tragic accident in Wellington.

Finn was an all round sportsman and an enthusiastic player for FC Nelson’s Under 19 Raiders. Short of a goalie in 2013, Finn took on the challenge and found he had real talent. He will be remembered for his big smile, his outgoing, easy manner and his bubbly character.

Memorial for Andy Scott - Anzac Day at BoatHouse

Sadly, Andy Scott passed away on Saturday morning.
Andy loved his football, and was a real character - his good humour & comments from the pitch and sideline will be missed by all (perhaps not so much by the opposition).
A Memorial celebrating Andy's life will be held this Friday (Anzac Day) at the BoatHouse from 1-30. Everyone is welcome.
Those associated with FC Nelson are asked to 'bring a plate', and could players wear their club polo shirts.
Our thoughts are with Linda, Alex & Laurie.
